Course Description

This 12-week test preparation course focuses on the use and application of basic building planning requirements for wall, floor, ceiling, roof framing and materials in one and two-family dwellings. The instructor will identify and discuss code requirements for soils, footing and foundations, light and ventilation, ceiling height, minimum room sizes, emergency escapes and rescue openings, smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors.The class will also include an array of practice tests, timed comprehensive exams and an expanded guide of applicable code sections pertinent for the final exam. All Students will be encouraged to test for ICC Residential Building Inspector Certification.
