Course Information
Course Description
Designed for those who have already completed the Certified Nurse Assistant course and who have successfully completed the Illinois Nurse Aide Examination, but who no longer are listed on the Illinois Nurse Aide Registry. Successful completion of this test fulfills the first step in the re-certification process. Before registering for the test, you must complete the Online Re-certification Form with SIU Illinois Nurse Testing Aide. Please follow all instructions when submitting the form. If you are eligible for re-certification, they will send you a re-certification packet. Health Requirements: You must have a current 1-Step TB test prior to the manual skills performance test. Background Check and Fingerprinting Process: To participate, the IDPH Health Care Worker Registry must show "Eligible" work status with a FEE_APP criminal background check. If the Health Care Worker Registry already shows your work eligibility with a FEE_APP, you will need to complete a new Authorization and Disclosure form, but you will not be required to fingerprint again. If you do need to fingerprint, it will be required prior to the first day of class. For detailed course information go to www.clcillinois.edu/professional/nursingCEs.
