Course Description

This course introduces English Language Learners at the advanced level of English language proficiency to theme based content readings. They will develop strategies to read college textbooks, career training materials, and other articles. These strategies may include previewing, skimming, scanning, annotating, and note-taking. Students will practice the skills of paraphrasing and summarizing. In addition, students will read non-adapted fiction and non-fiction.
