Swing Dance Sampler

In the swing scene of Chicago and Milwaukee you will encounter more than just East Coast and Lindy Hop. Enjoy this introduction to other social dances popular on the local dance scene. Balboa - a dance known for its fancy quick footwork in close contact with your partner. Partner Charleston - evolving from the solo version, the feet keep flying but in tandem now. Collegiate Shag - the most energetic of the dances, comes out when the music hits high speeds. No previous dancing experience is necessary, but it would be helpful. No partner required; we will be rotating partners. Wear comfortable, workout type clothes and sporty, soft-soled shoes.
