Course Description

This course provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the ways in which gender and sexuality have been reflected in philosophy, literature, history, music, and art. The course explores issues related to cisgender/nonbinary/transgender and queer identity in relation to race, sexuality, class, and nationality. Both classical and contemporary philosophers will be studied.
