Guitar Class I

Introduction to the fundamentals of the guitar for development of playing skills, reading, improvisation and technique. Explores the use of music theory as it relates to the guitar in terms of keys, chord construction and progression. Emphasis on variety of songs and historical styles for repertoire development.NOTE: MUS 127 Fundamentals of Music is strongly recommended as a companion course for students who need work in reading pitches and rhythms.
