Course Description
A basic course in aeronautical knowledge for those interested in pursuing a private pilot's license. Includes theory of flight, aircraft performance, federal aviation regulations, flight environment, weather and navigation in preparation for passing the FAA private pilot written examination. Successful completion of the course with at least a 70% grade is necessary to be eligible to be recommended to take the FAA test. A navigation computer and plotter are needed, but should be purchased after receiving guidance at first class. A separate $20 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
