Course Description

This course is a continuation of High Intermediate Level 5.1. It is for students who have a basic command of spoken English. The student should be able to comprehend basic medical terms and forms, complete simple job applications and follow basic oral instructions. The student should also be able to write basic instructions and simple paragraphs about daily activities and personal issues and should be capable of working with basic computer software and following basic technology instructions. This course will extend students speaking, listening, reading and writing skills based on a variety of life skill topics.Prerequisite: Appropriate score on the state mandated ESL test and/or teacher recommendation.
