Course Description

This course is a continuation of WLD170. Additional welding theory in GMAW,FCAW, SMAW, GTAW and Thermal Cutting is studied and practiced. Lab times arededicated to developing techniques used on low carbon steel alloys in the flatposition. Metallurgy and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and blueprints are studied and practiced. Qualitative testing is introduced and practiced following AWS standards. Note: Student must furnish basic required PPE.
